Director, Business Development

Profile The Director, Business Development will actively work to establish a clear and effective strategy to support the growth and profitability of the company. He will report directly to the President of VA. The ideal candidate has a very good entrepreneurial vision as well as excellent knowledge of 3PL. He stands out for his ability to seize opportunities and create a relationship of trust.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a clear strategy that meets the company's strategic planning as well as VA's growth objectives;
  • Act as a leader in the development of new markets and in the identification of new opportunities, primarily with respect to 3PL;
  • Master the various services offered by VA in its entirety; Collaborate with the company's various stakeholders to remain a company offering quality and personalized service;
  • Represent the company and all the services offered to future clients;
  • Administer the various projects and client files;
  • Implement and use representation tools that comply with the VA brand guide;
  • Promote the company in networking activities and/or professional events;
  • Maintain positive and trusting relationships, both internally and externally; Stay on top of customer satisfaction and the quality of service provided.

Criteria


  • 5 years of experience in sales/business development;
  • Entrepreneurial vision and creativity; Knowledge of 3PL and the field of logistics and transportation;
  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written) in English and French;
  • Ability to build relationships and negotiate;
  • Demonstrated persuasion, listening and analytical skills.
