Local delivery driver
Under the supervision of the Dispatcher, the VA Driver is responsible for daily deliveries and pick-ups of merchandise for VA customers.
Responsability
- Make deliveries and pick-ups;
- Drive a semi-trailer truck safely on its route;
- Handle merchandise when loading or unloading a trailer;
- Demonstrate courtesy on the road and with our customers;
- Collect payments, where applicable, and remit them to the persons in charge;
- Carry out pre-trip checks;
- Apply various policies, work procedures, laws and regulations;
- Fill out shipping documents properly;
- All other related tasks.
Requirements
- Class 1 license, FM endorsement;
- Experience driving a heavy vehicle
- DEP in heavy vehicle driving (An asset)
- Fluency in French and English;
- Ability to exert physical effort;
- Good driving record;
- Courteous driving, conscientious, resourceful, defensive and safe driving.
