Operations Manager
Reporting to the Vice President, Operations and Special Projects, he plans and carries out all tasks relating to the management of the Moncton terminal, whether in terms of operations, strategy or management of human, financial or material resources.
Responsability
Operational management
- Operations management;
- Directs the operations of the operational departments (Customer Service, Dispatch & Dock) for the maritimes;
- Responsible for relations between the various departments and terminals, and for the working atmosphere;
- Develops operational procedures and ensures their application, in collaboration with the Operations Manager for Quebec and Ontario.
Strategic management
- Operationalize the organization's strategic plan;
- Analyze, evaluate and modify existing operational processes to optimize profitability.
Human resources management
- Analyze and plan workforce needs in collaboration with Human Resources management;
- Participate in the hiring, induction, integration, evaluation and training of operational team members;
- Mobilize and manage work teams to increase retention, notably by managing conflicts.
Management of financial and material resources
- Control costs of operations within budget;
- Ensure optimal use of equipment and maximize profitability.
Requirements
- 10 years' relevant experience in a similar position;
- Experience in the logistics and/or transportation industry, an asset;
- Knowledge of AS400 and ISAAC, an asset;
- Good knowledge of Excel (Intermediate level);
- Good written and verbal communication skills in both official languages (French & English);
- Teamwork, good attitude and leadership skills;
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
- Proactive, organized and structured.
